Start your day off right or elevate your afternoon snack with this nutrient-packed and balanced smoothie bowl recipe from holistic nutritionist Lindsay Mustard. Most vanilla-flavoured protein powders have a little stevia or other non-sugar sweetness to them, but if you want a bit more, a packet of Ener-C Sugar Free will add a touch more sweet, even more vitamins and minerals but no extra sugar!
Ingredients:
Smoothie Bowl:
- ½ banana, frozen
- ½ cup frozen mango
- ½ avocado, frozen
- ½ cup frozen kale
- 1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder (we like Vega or Garden of Life)
- 3 ice cubes
- 1-2 cups almond milk (depending on desired thickness)
Toppings:
- 2 tbsp frozen blueberries
- ¼ banana, sliced
- 2 tbsp chopped frozen mango, thawedÂ
- 1 tbsp cacao nibs
- 2 tbsp granola or cereal of choice
Directions:
- Add all of the smoothie ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour the smoothie mixture into a serving bowl and top with toppings.
- Serve immediately!
